Why I started Rocky Ridge
After working in cybersecurity and investigative analysis, I saw how often smaller organizations were left with two poor choices: expensive enterprise services they did not need, or technical reports that never turned into meaningful action.
I founded Rocky Ridge Security to offer another option—local, focused support that starts with understanding the business. My job is to identify what matters most, explain it without unnecessary jargon and help owners make steady improvements within a realistic budget.
“You should never feel pressured into buying more security than your business needs.”
Andrew Lamy, Founder
Experience with a purpose
Andrew combines five years of cybersecurity experience with three years in private investigations. His background in Network Administration and Vulnerability and Risk Management supports a methodical approach to understanding environments, verifying risks and recommending practical next steps.
Finding weaknesses, confirming what they mean and prioritizing them around real business impact.
Looking beyond an automated scan to understand people, processes, systems and recovery readiness.
Turning findings into an ordered plan that respects the business’s priorities, budget and capacity.
What guides our work
Cybersecurity is built on trust. These values shape how we communicate, how we handle client information and how we decide what to recommend.
We handle access, information and recommendations with care, honesty and respect.
Our work is measured by meaningful improvements—not the length of a report or a list of tools.
You should understand your risks, your options and what each recommendation will accomplish.
Good security guidance should be accessible to smaller organizations, not reserved for large enterprises.
We take time to understand the people and operations behind every business we support.
A neurodiverse-forward company
Rocky Ridge Security is being built with a neurodiverse-forward vision. We believe careful observation, deep focus and different perspectives make security work stronger. As the company grows, we want to create meaningful opportunities for neurodiverse talent and a workplace where people can do their best work without hiding who they are.
Rooted in Calgary
Rocky Ridge Security serves Calgary and surrounding communities with an emphasis on direct communication and in-person support. Clients receive honest recommendations from someone who understands their business—not an anonymous queue or a distant call centre.
